
"Connected for Cohesion", is a cross-border cooperation initiative funded by the EU Interreg VI-A IPA South Adriatic programme. Its main objective is to strengthen railway and logistics connectivity in the South Adriatic area (Italy, Albania, and Montenegro), accelerating the integration of the Western Balkans into the European Core TEN-T transport network by 2030. Through strong synergy across the Adriatic shores, the project aims to enhance technical expertise and maximize the value derived from EU funding, promoting more modern, resilient, and bottleneck-free infrastructure for territories and citizens alike.
The overall objective of the project is to improve the TEN-T network readiness of the South Adriatic region and increase its presence in EU transport policy decision-making processes. The Specific Objectives are:
